Will The Pressure From Covid Pop Your Balloon?

Covid 19 has changed all of our lives; how are you dealing with it?

  • *Pressure to wear a mask
  • *Pressure to social distance
  • *Pressure of lockdown
  • *Pressure of loneliness
  • *Pressure to get to work on time
  • *Pressure to pay bills
  • *Pressure to work in your daily devotions
  • *Pressure to stay healthy
  • *Pressure when the car breaks down
  • *Pressure of raising a family
  • *Pressure of relationships
  • *Pressure to get the Covid Vaccine
  • *Pressure, pressure, pressure, is there ever going to be any relief?
  •
  •
  • In these turbulent, unpredictable Covid times, we all need something that we can trust for safety and guidance.
  •
  • Proverbs 3:5-6
5, Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6, In all thy ways, acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

  • A pastor popped a balloon during a sermon to illustrate a point. Was it the pin that popped the balloon or something else? The pastor explained that it takes air pressure inside the balloon balanced with the air pressure from outside, holding the balloon stable.

Will The Pressure From Covid Pop Your Balloon?

  • In the book of Revelation of the Bible, angels hold back the winds of strife (pressure) until the sealing of the righteous. If you think you are under pressure of hard times now, it will get much worse; the sealed people of God will experience tremendous pressure (strife) at the time of the end. Some Christians know that there will be a time of great trouble. Forces will be applied to them in many ways, but trying times of pressure brought on by Covid is not the primary concern; the concern is holding up under pressure.

  • Rev 7:1-3
1, And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2,  And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
God is looking for people who will not pop under pressure. We can be thankful that God has the whole world in his hands; He has covid in his hands. He has you in his hands if you let him.

Jesus will stand with you during the difficult times we face. Jesus stood with the three Hebrews in the furnace; Jesus stood by Danial in the den of lions; Jesus can stand by you in Covid times.

Rom 12:1-2
1, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2,  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Here are some of God's promises to his true believers.
Isaiah 26:3  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Rom 8:6  For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Satin is trying to pop your balloon in unexpected ways; he is coming at you in ways you could never think. Who would have guessed that the Covid pandemic would be so destructive in so many ways? So, what next? Many expect mandatory vaccine laws in the future, perhaps even religious laws. What will you do then? Will you pop (give in under pressure) because Jesus is not by your side, or stay safe in your trust in Jesus?
